A GIF maker that animates each region or object

This tool lets you add motion to a still image and create a looping animated GIF. Beyond applying an effect to the whole image, you can draw a rectangular region by dragging, or cut out an object with the magic wand (which auto-selects colors near the clicked point) or an ellipse selection, and apply an effect to that area only. You can even move just the cut-out object and fill in the background. Regions can be moved and deleted by dragging, and touch controls on smartphones are supported.

The effects include the four classics — Mosaic, Shimmer (heat haze), Shake and Move — plus Blur, Hue shift, Brightness pulse, Glitch, Zoom pulse, Rotate, Blink, Melt, Ripple and Invert flicker, 14 in total. Adjust intensity, speed and phase per region and stack several together. There are also finishing options such as normal loop / ping-pong (back and forth), background color and transparent background, vignette and film grain, caption text overlays, and presets for frames, fps, size and quality. You can check the preview with play/pause and scrubbing.

From loading through region selection, effect application and GIF encoding, everything is processed inside your browser, and your image is never sent to any external server. It's handy for animating SNS icons, creating assets, or sharing images with a mosaic applied.

Frequently asked questions

What effects are available?
In addition to Mosaic, Shimmer, Shake and Move, there are Blur, Hue shift, Brightness pulse, Glitch, Zoom pulse, Rotate, Blink, Melt, Ripple and Invert flicker — 14 in total. Each can be applied per region with its own intensity, speed and phase, and you can choose between a normal loop and ping-pong (back and forth).
Can I apply an effect to just part of the image?
Yes. Besides drawing a rectangular region by dragging, you can cut out an object with the magic wand or an ellipse selection and apply an effect to that area only. You can also move just the cut-out object and fill in the background, and regions can be moved and deleted by dragging.
Does the loop connect smoothly?
Because each effect is computed with a periodic function, the last frame connects seamlessly back to the first. Ping-pong (back and forth) playback and vignette / grain / caption overlays are also supported.
Is my image saved or uploaded?
No. All processing happens entirely inside your browser; nothing is sent externally or saved.
